INTRODUCTION TO HYDROKINETICS

In this series we talk about key concepts about fluids in motion, including the Conservation of Energy, Conservation of Matter, and Bernoulli's Equation. We cover several example calculations, hand-solve our own solutions, and then turn our attention to understanding and measuring flow.

Our Objectives:

  1. Understand the principles of Conservation of Energy and Conservation of Matter.
  2. Understand the importance of Bernoulli's Equation, and how we can use it in the fire suppression industry.
  3. Understand how to describe and measure flow in fire suppression systems.
